I'M HAVING A CRISIS!

June 10, 2020, 11:00 am to 2:00 pm
Language:
German, questions can also be asked in English
Access: This event will take place online, access to it will be provided upon registration.

Is there anyone who isn‘t familiar with what it’s like to be in crisis? And especially in times of C like coronavirus!
But let’s be serious for a moment: as independent artists, this is something we experience all too often – a funding application has been turned down, a cooperation doesn't end up working out and we are forced to throw our plans overboard. What’s worse, it’s just our artistic ideas that are suddenly derailed; difficulties in maintaining our livelihoods quickly rear their heads in such times. What do you do? Is a crisis always an opportunity? Or does this age-old saying just feel like a slap in the face for artists living precariously? How can we learn to deal with permanent and constantly recurring crises?
In this workshop, we will develop tips and tricks together for exercising crisis management and share our knowledge in the sense of mutual support.

[KILLER TEXT HERE]

Language: German, questions can also be asked in English
Access: This event will take place online, access to it will be provided upon registration.

I have an idea for a project – but how I do express it clearly so that it can be easily understood? What do I have to bear in mind when I describe my project in writing so that a jury can be persuaded to fund my project?
The next funding deadlines are right around the corner: on June 15 for grants of the pilot project Tanzpraxis (Dance Praxis) and on June 30 for Einstiegsförderung and Einezelprojektförderung (Early Career Funding and Individual Project Funding). To help you get ready, this online workshop uses theory, exchanges of experiences and practical exercises to provide the foundations to help you write a successful funding application – from the establishment of a concept structure to tools for working with text and questions of style all the way to beginnings and endings. This workshop has been divided into two parts in order to give the participants the opportunity to use the time between the session to work on their project descriptions and to receive feedback.
Please be sure to have your rough concept ready for the first part of the workshop: we'll work on it together so that it’s easier for you to depict your idea more clearly!
